I've found a new way to keep Ren busy for a bit... give him a cup of ice and send him outside. He loves to dump it out, pick it up, and repeat. Gotta love the simple things.
A few weeks ago, Ren lost his shoe at the gym (I think he threw it away in their garbage can, actually). We went to the mall today in search of shoes for Ren... did not go well. He absolutely refuses to wear hard sole shoes... like Vans... which we hoped he'd like. But nope. He threw a fit when we put them on him, kicking his legs, and crying. He won't stand up in them at all. So, this is what we found instead. A pair of soft sole Robeez sandals. He likes them, and I like that their tight enough that he can't pull them off and throw them away.
This very friendly gray kitty has claimed our backyard as his own. He visits us daily, meowing and begging for attention. Cohen and Ren love him. Ren tries to feed him rocks. Cohen named him "Davin." My dad calls him "Smokey." I hope this kitty has a real home. He's at ours a lot, and I'm beginning to wonder...
