Best friends.

Christmas morning.

Cohen had already gone through everyone's stockings by the time Jason, Avery and I got downstairs. We got a quick picture before the actual present opening started. The boys were SO excited! It was such a great Christmas day!

Just dance.

Our family had a huge Just Dance party after Christmas Eve dinner. It was hysterical. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. This is the boys doing the "Jump, Jump" song.

Teacher gifts.

I wanted to do something more creative than Bath and Body works little things for teacher gifts, but I ran out of time. I am happy that I finally used those little bottle cap holiday embellishments though! I've had those for like 10 years in my scrapbooking stuff!

These two.

They totally love each other. My dad thinks they will grow to be the best of friends when they get older... I think they already are.

Ren was making spitting noises today (from a distance thankfully) at Avery, and she thought it was the funniest thing ever. Now, I'm having a hard time getting Ren to stop spitting constantly.

 Avery happens to love eating prunes!! Just like my mom! And she exercises while she eats by holding her toes and doing leg lifts... so fabulous, like her bib says.

Jason found a website where you can play the original version of Super Mario Bros. He's shown it to Ren, and Ren is completely obsessed. It's pretty cute watching the two of them play together though. (Now if I could just get that Mario song out of my head!! Didn't like it back in jr. high and don't like it still!)

Some very sweet neighbors "elfed" us tonight... wish I knew who so I could tell them how cute it was! Cohen saw me drinking the root beer later and asked, "Mom, are you drinking BEER?!" I had to explain that it was root beer... and that no, Mommy wasn't drinking beer. He was very upset with me for a few minutes. ;)

Made this salad for a family who had baby twins... loved how it turned out.. so pretty and yummy with Poppy seed dressing.

Whenever Ren puts on his Elmo costume, Avery immediately starts laughing hysterically. It's awesome.

When I picked up Avery from the kids' club at the gym today, the ladies who work there had put this little white bow in her hair. I thought she looked so cute, I had to take a picture.

This kid would eat popsicles all day long if I let him. I get him the mini ones and he goes through 3 in like 10 minutes flat. Cracks me up.

Dallin is such a great kid. He plays so well with Ren - he's so patient, helpful, and kind. We're so lucky to have such great family!

Cohen was the farmer in his kindergarten play for Thanksgiving. He was such a natural on stage and we're so proud of him!

The boys were playing in Grandpa's room for a while today. I went in to find them here... they'd tipped over Grandpa's rocking chair and were sitting in it together watching TV. Too cute those two.

Ren was cracking me up driving Cohen around the house today.

I feel like that could be Avery's Native American name, "Waiting Patiently". She is such a sweet heart... whenever I need to stop her in the middle of a feed to pick up Cohen from school, or put her down so I can change Ren's diaper, or set her in her bouncy seat so I can make dinner, she is so patient. I had to take a picture of her tonight doing just that. I set her on the counter facing the window, but she just kept looking over at me with her big brown patient eyes... as if to say, "Okay, Mommy. I'll hang out here 'til you can play with me again. Hurry though, okay?" Oh, I just love my baby girl. She's precious beyond words.

Ren brought down all of his favorite things to share with Avery... even put his blanket over her, too. He is such a loving big brother. Makes me teary just thinkin' about it.

Halloween!!

Spidey-men.

Ren and Cohen were getting so excited for Halloween. They ran around the house in their Spidermen costumes tonight... Ren even wore his Batman mask, too... he was very intense.

In her bumbo... or bum bum.

Avery's strong enough to sit in her Bumbo chair now! Or as Ren calls it, "her bum bum". Isn't she so cute?!

Breakfast.

I love to watch the Food Network... but rarely do I ever get up from the couch to actually make a recipe I see on TV just minutes after I've seen it... but I did that with this recipe a few weeks ago, and I had to have it again this morning. It's Ina Garten's Country Hashed Browns... and it's to die for! Today I didn't have onions or parsley on hand, so I substituted cilantro for the parsley and just added chopped green onions... it was divine. I'm ashamed to say I ate this whole bowl... but do you blame me?

I'm amazed...

at how strong Avery's gotten... here she is doing tummy time with her head completely up! I guess all that sleeping on her belly is really paying off! I'm not as worried about the back of her head getting flat now either.

This ride looks like fun, but after a minute of this craziness, Ren let go of the swing and fell flat on his face in to the sand... no fun at all! But, in true Ren fashion, he was up and at it again after a few seconds of fierce crying. He shakes off injuries really quickly. We decided to swing without the bears after that though. (Their bears didn't mind.)

It makes my heart happy knowing that Avery has two older brothers who love her so much. Just like me, I loved growing up with two big brothers who were always there for me.
